Anna Maria BERNSTEINer married Martinus FRIDEL [FRIDL/FRIEDL] on 10 Jul 1792, in Mercifalva [Mercydorf], - Witnesses were Stephanus NIKO & Adamus WILKOM.¹ Anna married at age 20, Martinus being quite a few years older than her [his est yob is 1754].

On 9 Jan 1794, Martin FRIDL and wife Anna Maria BERNSTEINER are listed as the Godparents of Martinus BERNSTEINER, son of Laurenz BERNSTEINER & Marie geb. Solingerin.¹ this constitutes a connection between Laurenz [who you will read about later on] and Anna Marie Bernsteiner, possibly siblings, cousins or his niece.¹

Bernsteiner Elisabeth: Wingen, Kr. Zabern or Kr. Weißenberg, Elaß, 1729 - 06 Oct 1794.⁴
Bernsteiner Lorenz: Hochneukirchen Österreich - 1761 - 17 May 1803.⁴
(note: Perhaps Lorenz and Ignaz were brothers, both are from Hochneukirchen Österreich.  If Ignatius were Lorenz's father would they be listed separately? )

This Anna Marie, would be about the same age as Ignaz and I wonder if when he died, she remarried.  But could she have had 2 son's with this Binder man?   I have found no other Leitner's in Mercydorf.

In the copies of the Mercydorfer church registers, which are kept at the Institutes for Foreign Country Relations, in Stuttgart, also includes a list of the owners of house and of their families from the year 1794.  The list included in this book has been somewhat shortened/changed.
Note: I would take this to mean that there were TWO SEPARATE LISTS from which the writer is working... probably representing TWO SEPARATE GROUPS OF COLONISTS. i.e. two separate "Einsiedlungs." 1774 and 1784 ... Dan Drew [assisted with translation]
