Comments by Jody: I enjoyed a nice visit with Agnes & her daughter last spring at her home.  I'm really sad I have not spent  time with them because I have really missed out on  knowing a great family.  It is apparent George & Agnes have done a wonderful job raising their children  &  they have great looking grandchildren too.  Agnes has the Bible that Martin & Elizabeth  brought with them to the US.  It is in German print &  there are no handwritten entries.  But just to touch the Bible gave me a thrill.  They could carry but  few things on their journey &    and they hung on to their Bible, it must have been very important to them.  And its LARGE.
