When her husband Jesse died she was left with four young children and two older children but she had to raise them by herself. Bill was 24 and in the US Army and Evelyn was 20 years and married. Frances was 14, Betty 13, Catherine 12 and Jessie Mae was ten.

I received e-mail March 30, 2001 from Jody McKim inquiring about Catherine. She said, "my great uncle Anton Marmon immigrated to the US in 1906 from Hungary, soon his wife Susanna followed. Susanna died--supposedly leaving 3 children, Albert Joseph Marmon, John Marmon and Catherine Marmon. Catherine married Jesse Harrington in Georgia and they moved to Mississippi.
