Born 1 Oct 1869, C 3.10.1869, KATALIN, do
JAKAB INGRISCH, foldes & THEREZ FRIEDL, Mercyfalva H 175,
PNCC: JOSEF VAGNER, KATALIN VAGNER, his wife. Deceased according to the notice of the Popular Council of Carani village,
paper no. 29 in 1952 (83 years old).
Note:
in the 1931-32 households of Mercydorf there is
listed in house # 123
Thobias, Ingrisch Katarina; Occupation:
Retired. If this is Catherine, she would be appx 62 yrs
old at the time of the census).
Note: 3 doors away at house # 126
Ingrisch, Franz & Elisabeth Liedl, occupation Wagner -
Jacob Ingrisch & 1st wife CATHARINA DIRR had a son FRANCISCUS b. 12
May 1853, this could be him.
at house #204 is also a Frank INGRISCH
& Marie Sipinger.

I believe
Kat. Ingrisch married to Martin Taubert is
our Katharine Ingrisch.
Now I will
search for this family.
There were no Taubert's listed on the
Mercydorf passenger records. So I checked at Ellis Island site, for
all Taubert's, what I found was astonishing - on 15 May 1902,
Taubert, Roma (Hanna ?) age 18, female, from Knez is joining Uncle Franz
Ingrisch in New York!!!!
NOTE:
This is an automatic tie to Frank
and Anna Ingrisch. Frank immigrated in 1899, last residence was
Temeswar. Frank's sons
Marton & Michael Ingrisch
immigrated "15 May 1902" page 18 (same ship as Roma, she is on page 44) on
their manifest it states they were also from Knez, joining their father in
NY. This always puzzled me because I have never found a connection to
the Ingrisch's in Knez. Now because the boys were last in Knez,
(before joining their father Franz in NY) they had to have been staying with
relatives/cousins.
