Why I'm researching the Schick's . . .
My Great Grandfather Martin Ingrisch (b. Mercydorf - last residence was
Mehala/Temeswar) arrived at Ellis Island NY on
May 14 1906, he was joining his brother-in-law Michael Schick in
Atlanta. The
same for Martin's brother in law Anton Marmon, on his manifest of
March 16, 1906, it stated he too
was joining 'brother in law - Michael Schick' in Atlanta. (Married to
Katy Schick) I located a passenger
record for Ferdinand (Nandor) Schick (from Temeswar) who joined his brother
Michael (Mihaly) Schick in Atlanta. Looking for descendants of this family.
Family story was that Michael Schick's wife
died here in the states and he returned to the old country. It is a family mystery.
