Family Photos

Johann & Marie Durr Ingrisch Famiily in Mercydorf. The prayer book belonged to Maria Durr Ingrisch. Jeanne has the book!

It is purple velvet, in the center is a cross and the white is ivory. How proud Maria must have been to include this book in a formal family photo.

Johann Ingrisch my father born 30 March 1851. Maria Ingrisch my mother born 3 March 1855, married on the 2 February 1875. *translation: Alex Leeb

Jeanne says "I cherish this photo!" Could the woman on the right be Anna Lambing Ingrisch with Joseph Ingrisch (L) & and son John Joseph in the back?

Written on the back I recognize "St. Louis" & "Uncle Michael" but who would that be? It is signed "John"

Could this be Joseph Ingrisch?

Note to Nicholas Honich - 1921
from his Grandparents John & Marie Durr Ingrisch

This was written on the back of a picture of a little model church.  Grandma Honich had the photo in a nice little gilded frame.  The photo and letter is in possession of Jeanne Honich.  Grandma Honich was Theresa Ingrisch (of Mercydorf) who married Joseph Honich (of Neubeschenowa). Their son Nicholas "Niki" b. 1908 in Mercydorf, who this note is addressed to, sent by his grandparents Johann Ingrisch & Marie Durr Ingrisch.

An Ingrisch Genealogical Chart dating back to 1727 has been preserved in the Ingrisch-Honich Family for over 100 years! Thanks to Jeanne, we have a wonderful resource and keepsake!
